Every human being is like a mosaic...We accumulate experiences and energy exchanges that fuse together into a form that is paradoxically whole and fractured. Our healing journeys begin when we feel ready to explore and deconstruct the parts of our personality structures, so that we can access new channels of communication and cooperation among those parts.
“All of us are born with many sub-minds―or parts. These parts are not imaginary or symbolic. They are individuals who exist as an internal family within us―and the key to health and happiness is to honor, understand, and love every part” (Dr. Dick Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems).
The great psychedelic philosopher Terence McKenna believed the human brain to be a receiver of consciousness, rather than a generator. In other words, we have the ability to change the channel on our input device through various interventions, and thereby tap into a world of content/material from other sources. Psychedelic medicines on their own are powerful tools that we can use as channel-changing agents, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy provides an essential "container," so that we may safely explore whatever it is we might encounter on the other side.
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” (C.G. Jung)
